Job summary

The Erlen Group in Springfield, MO is seeking a Security & Dispatch Associate for a 12-hour rotating night shift (8 PM–8 AM). The role involves supervising traffic, directing drivers, and coordinating loads while monitoring property security and camera systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least three years in a related field. You will work with leadership, offices, drivers, and clients to track shipments and ensure accurate reporting; overtime

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Three years' experience in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic and coordinate with truck drivers for optimal parking and loading.
• Check in drivers and coordinate activities to route them to the correct buildings.
• Work with buildings to coordinate loads and schedules.
• Monitor property via cameras and conduct security rounds.
• Multi-task by operating gates, answering phones, and monitoring feeds.
• Notify drivers and tenants of dangerous conditions and de-escalate when needed.
• Resolve problems to help drivers reach their locations.

Reports to: Logistics & System Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Work a consistent 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM Night shift with a bi-weekly schedule. Only work 14 days a month!

• Week 1: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on = 48 hours
• Week 2: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off = 36 hours
• Built-in Overtime: Any hours worked over 40 hours in a week are paid at 1.5x your base rate

Position Summary:

TheSecurity & DispatchAssociatewillassistwith a variety of duties. The person occupying this person may interact with Leadership, office, product,drivers, systems, and clients to track, inspect, and record shipmentsinan accurateand professionalmanner. The person occupying this positionwill alsobe responsible fordirecting traffic and drivers. ASecurity & DispatchAssociatemust be attentive to the activity going on around the property as well as the handling of checking in trucks. This person also must have basic computer andclerical skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Help direct traffic, communicate with truck drivers,and ensure best use of staged truck parking
• Check in driversandcoordinate related activities and communication to ensure they getto the correct buildings.
• Work with the buildings to coordinate loads and schedules
• Monitors properties by camera and make security roundsthroughouttheproperty
• Ability to multi-task (operategates, answer phones, watch cameras)
• Monitor and alert drivers and tenants of dangerous conditions
• Ability to de-escalate potentiallydifficult situations
• Ability to solve problems to help drivers get to their locations

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and multi-task
• Ability to enter data andoperatesoftware on computer

Education and Experience:

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Three years' experience in related field
• Validdriver'slicense
