Job summary

Leidos in McLean, VA is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA). You will work on security-focused data science projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver analytic solutions.

Responsibilities include building ML models, NLP, SQL queries, web scraping, automation, and leveraging AWS and Git. Must have TS/SCI with polygraph; strong Python, SNA, visualization skills.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• BS degree and 8–12 years of relevant technical experience or Master’s with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Python is required.
• Social network analysis (SNA) experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and NLP; familiarity with spaCy, HuggingFace, NLTK, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with statistics, probability, predictive modeling, and data architecture.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and machine learning models, including NLP, and develop automated solutions for complex challenges.
• Construct and execute complex database search queries across multiple databases using SQL and APIs.
• Perform web scraping and process unstructured data.
• Apply automation and machine learning to manage data, predict scenarios, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Learn and leverage technologies including AWS and Git.
