Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist in the Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA) based in McLean, VA. The role focuses on building models, NLP pipelines, and data-driven decisions for critical security projects.

The team works across Security Engineering, CNO, Mission Software, and cryptographic key management, with a strong emphasis on Python, SQL, NLP, and visualization. Applicants should have a TS/SCI with polygraph and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience with Python is required.
• Social network analysis (SNA) experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and NLP; familiarity with NLP libraries/tools (spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow).
• Experience with statistics, probability, and predictive modeling; knowledge of data architectures and statistical methods.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and ML models; develop NLP and automated solutions for complex challenges.
• Construct and execute complex database search queries across databases using SQL and APIs.
• Perform web scraping and processing of unstructured data.
• Leverage automation and ML to manage data, predict scenarios, and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Learn and leverage technologies including AWS and Git.
