Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist for the Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA) in McLean, VA, to drive data science initiatives with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will build ML models, perform NLP, and develop automated solutions for security-focused challenges.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with data visualization tools. The position offers competitive benefits and a fast-paced environment within ASBA.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• BS degree with 8–12 years of relevant technical experience or Master’s with 6–10 years; Doctorate possible.
• Experience with Python is required.
• SNA experience.
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
• Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning and NLP; familiarity with NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow).
• Experience with statistics, data architecture, and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and machine learning models, NLP, and automation for complex business challenges.
• Construct and execute complex database search queries across databases using SQL and APIs.
• Perform web scraping and process unstructured data.
• Apply automation and ML to manage data, predict scenarios, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Learn and leverage AWS and Git technologies.
