Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist in the Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA) in McLean, VA to support a fast-paced data science team focused on security applications. The role emphasizes ML, NLP, data integration, and visualization using modern tools and cloud platforms.

The candidate should have TS/SCI with Polygraph, a strong Python background, and experience with NLP libraries, databases, and ML methodologies to deliver data-driven decisions and impactful insights.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• BS degree plus 8–12 years of relevant technical experience or MS with 6–10 years.
• Experience with Python is required.
• Social network analysis (SNA) experience.
• Strong SQL skills and API/data extraction experience.
• Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning and NLP libraries (SpaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and ML models and NLP solutions for complex challenges.
• Construct and execute SQL queries across databases and APIs.
• Perform web scraping and process unstructured data.
• Leverage automation and ML to manage data and inform decisions.
• Learn and utilize AWS and Git technologies.
