Leidos in McLean, VA is seeking a Data Scientist to join a fast-paced team focused on security analytics. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a technical BS/MS, and strong Python, SQL, NLP skills to build models, perform data extraction, and analyze unstructured data.

You will work with AWS, Git, and modern ML/NLP libraries to drive data-driven decisions and deliver automated solutions for complex challenges.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in a technical field; 8–12 years experience or Master's 6–10 years.
• Experience with Python is required.
• Social network analysis (SNA) experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and NLP; familiarity with NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and machine learning models; conduct NLP; develop automated solutions for complex business challenges.
• Construct and execute complex database search queries across multiple databases using SQL and APIs.
• Perform web scraping and process unstructured data.
• Leverage automation and ML to manage data, predict scenarios, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Learn and leverage AWS and Git technologies.
