Job summary

Leidos in McLean, VA is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA). You will contribute to national security initiatives by applying advanced analytics on diverse data sources and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes building statistical and machine learning models, NLP pipelines, and extracting data via SQL and APIs. You will also perform web scraping, data automation, and leverage AWS and Git to deliver data-driven recommendations

Qualifications

BS degree in CS/Math/Engineering or related technical field.
MS/PhD preferred with relevant experience in data science.
8–12 years of relevant experience with a BS or 6–10 years with an MS; doctorate acceptable.
Experience with Python required.

Responsibilities

Build statistical and machine learning models, NLP, and automated solutions for complex business challenges.
Construct and execute complex SQL queries across multiple databases and APIs.
Perform web scraping and processing of unstructured data.
Leverage automation and machine learning to manage data, predict scenarios, and provide data-driven recommendations.
Learn and leverage AWS and Git.
