Job summary

The Auto Club Group (ACG) seeks a skilled Security Center Operator in Dearborn, MI, for full-time, hourly work from 7am-3pm, including every other weekend and holiday. You will supervise CCTV, alarms, and access control, dispatch responders, and maintain logs and reports.

Responsibilities cover system programming, maintenance coordination, and training of staff. The role requires strong communication, stress-management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and IRIMS.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Police, Fire, Security/Police Department Dispatcher or Control Center Operator.
• Knowledge of access control systems, video identification badge systems, fire and burglar alarm systems and CCTV.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate situations and make sound decisions under stress.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge of IRIMS and related database systems.
• Physical ability to perform essential duties.
• May be required to work various shifts.
• Preferred: Associates degree in Law Enforcement or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Control Center operations with CCTV, alarms, radio dispatch, access control.
• Monitor systems and perform programming and repairs planning.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure training and certification of operators.
• Handle daily operator functions and clerical duties.
• Monitor radio transmissions and dispatch staff to incidents.
• Maintain security reports and confidentiality.
• Provide clerical support to Security Management.
