Job summary

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer: Concierge to manage the front desk at a downtown Maryland office building. You will ensure daily operations align with policy, support guests, tenants, and vendors, and maintain safety and security standards.

You will handle access control, reports, and incident investigations while delivering excellent customer service and responding to safety concerns in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer-service related job.
• Valid driver's license without major violations.
• Must be certified security professional (VA Unarmed Security Officer/Courier, DCJS) or obtain within 60 days.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Access control for guests, tenants, and vendors.
• Assist with elevator and door access for all guests.
• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors.
• Prepare daily activity, access control, and incident reports.
• Observe and report safety concerns.
• Patrol common areas.
• Oversee opening, management, and closing of the facility daily.
• Review maintenance checklists and conduct safety audits.
• Resolve customer concerns escalated to front-line staff.
• Complete incident forms and investigations as directed.
• Record and track work using required software applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
