Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking a Security Concierge to support our mission of providing best-in-class security and life-safety services at a Boston area location. The role focuses on professional, customer-focused security for people and property, with a strong emphasis on vigilance and service.

Typical shift is 3:00pm-11:00pm, Saturday through Wednesday, full-time. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and excellent communication skills in

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
• Reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat, professional appearance.
• Previous contract security or law enforcement experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility.
• Monitor the environment for suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Familiarize with incoming and outgoing traffic and know customers, tenants, visitors.
• Greet people professionally at all times.
• Answer phones in a professional manner.
• Permit entry to authorized persons and monitor entrances/exits.
• Enforce facility policies within the limits of the position.
• Perform required patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Follow emergency action plans and procedures.
• Monitor alarms and systems.
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
