Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Project Manager 1 in the Charleston area to lead small electrical construction projects or parts of larger efforts, overseeing administration, budgeting, and scheduling with a technical background and relevant certifications preferred.

You will coordinate with field offices, customers, and contractors to ensure timely completion, strong cost control, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years experience or 5+ years with MS.
• Clearance/Citizen Type: Secret clearance is required.
• Experience managing multi-discipline projects (Fire Alarm, Communications, Security, AV, Power, Instrumentation).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project Superintendent in documentation, project layout, and field office support.
• Develop a resource loaded CPM schedule and coordinate kickoff meetings.
• Forecast cash flow and manpower needs; track budgets and costs.
• Review plans, permits, and submittals; prepare estimates for designed projects.
• Lead meetings with customers and coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals.
