Job summary

RTX in US-CA-EL SEGUNDO seeks an experienced Operations/PM leader to own program execution on DoD and Direct Commercial Sales initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control. The role requires coordinating with program management, suppliers, and government representatives to drive productivity and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience working directly with customers or suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Own operations execution on DoD and Direct Commercial Sales programs with cost-plus and firm-fixed contracts and ensure on-time delivery of all customer commitments.
• Participate in business pursuit and capture, including developing TINA-compliant Basis of Estimates submittals.
• Drive Transition to Production activities to prepare the El Segundo factory for the next franchise set of programs.
• Lead Front End of the Business activities including contract requirements review, BOM development, MRP requirements planning, manufacturing execution plan development, and Make/Buy/Where strategy and execution.
• Lead multi-functional teams to resolve problems and improve productivity using Six Sigma, lean practices and analytics.
• Identify and manage operational risks and opportunities throughout each phase via risk mitigation and opportunity capture plans.
• Provide leadership and coordination of manufacturing resources and collaborate with program management, suppliers, customers, and government representatives.
• Execute Operations Control Account Manager functions including budgets, cost accounts, Earned Value, and variance analyses.
