GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a Captain to act as shift commander, directing security and control operations. You will supervise staff, oversee detainee safety, and ensure Records and reports are prepared accurately.

The role requires strong leadership, 3+ years in correctional settings with supervisory duties, and excellent communication. A challenging, mission-driven environment with opportunities for advancement awaits.

Qualifications

• Must meet same basic qualifications as a Corrections Officer.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses desirable.
• Minimum of three years in a correctional setting with supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Directs security and control operations during a shift.
• Oversees staff, detainee supervision and safety.
• Develops and enforces custody, security and treatment policies.
• Reviews disciplinary matters involving staff and detainees.
• Coordinates staffing for security supervisors and officers.
