Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Information Security team. You will assess and mitigate risks across applications, systems and platforms, advising lines of business on security designs and controls.

You will work with IT and engineering groups, stay current on adversarial techniques, and contribute to the design of security risk mitigations and automation using scripting and AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience with network security analysis or intrusion management
• Experience identifying malware and vulnerabilities
• Experience with secure deployment of IaaS
• Experience in FedRAMP/CMMC environments

Responsibilities

• Research adversarial techniques, vulnerabilities, and detection/response strategies
• Conduct network, application and system security assessments and provide mitigations
• Assist design and deployment of security controls
• Perform compliance and policy investigations of internal systems
• Document security guidelines and policies (NIST 800-53/800-171)
• Provide security guidance to Akamai business units
• Leverage AI capabilities to enhance processes and automation
• Develop scripts/tools to support these functions
