Job summary

Vail Resorts in California is hiring Security Agents for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. This entry‑level role focuses on safety for guests and property across hotels, offices, restaurants, and retail locations, including patrols, emergency response, and reporting.

The position offers full-time and part-time hours, housing availability, and a starting wage of $20.00–$23.00 per hour. Ideal candidates are fluent in English, with a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

  • Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Prior security/loss prevention experience preferred, previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outside in varying and extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and reporting or correcting safety issues.
  • Assisting/interacting with guests and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Providing a high‑visibility presence to deter criminal activity and violations of resort conduct code.
  • Submitting thorough and clear reports.
  • Cooperating with law enforcement in investigations.
  • Using radio and telephone communications to call for assistance from police, fire, or emergency services as the situation dictates.
  • Performing additional tasks as requested by the night manager, security supervisor or other management team members.

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr – $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
