Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking an Experienced Security professional to support guests at the resort, assist with events, and cover shifts for the Guest Safety team during winter season. You will interact with guests, residents, and staff, respond to incidents, and participate in emergency procedures.

Qualifications include a high-school diploma, valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Required: High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Extensive customer-service experience
  • Clean driving record and background check
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
  • Ability to obtain Advanced First Aid certification within 3 months
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, crawl, climb, lift, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to remain flexible in schedule, working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • College degree – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interact with property owners, guests, and employees
  • Assist guests, residents, and employees with vehicle jump-starts, unlocks, alarms, and accidents
  • Provide basic first-aid response
  • Enact general emergency procedures in conjunction with resort policies
  • Understand basic emergency and law-enforcement services and procedures
  • Manage and resolve tier-two customer-service issues transferred from other departments
  • Enforce all property regulations
  • Control traffic and ensure pedestrian safety on roadways within the resort and when entering the resort
  • Investigate incidents
  • Write and file reports
  • Inspect AEDs, manage or make keys, update locks, and other duties as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications
  • Starting wage: $21.00/hr – $25.20/hr
  • Employment type: Winter Seasonal 2026/27
  • Shift type: Full time and part time hours available
  • Minimum age: At least 18 years of age
