Job summary

Vantage Point Retirement Living seeks a Part-time Security professional for Friday night shift (12 am - 8 am) to help protect residents, staff, and visitors at our Exton, PA location. The role emphasizes vigilance, incident reporting, and teamwork within a family-owned operating model.

Responsibilities include patrols, safety inspections, and responding to emergencies, with benefits starting day one of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related security experience preferred.
• Interest in working with a senior population.
• Customer service skills are demonstrated.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and security inspections.
• Patrol community buildings and grounds as scheduled.
• Report irregularities such as hazards and unsecured doors.
• Inspect and report dangerous conditions and defective equipment.
• Investigate and report unlawful activity and safety hazards.
• Respond to security calls and take appropriate action.
• Secure buildings according to policy and notify authorities when needed.
• Sound fire alarm in case of fire emergency.
• Complete housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Answer community phones.

The Security personnel will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility, employees, residents, and guests.

Description of responsibilities:

• Conduct safety and security inspections
• Patrol community buildings and grounds as scheduled
• Report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and unsecured doors
• Inspect and report all dangerous conditions and any damaged or defective equipment, machinery, and property
• Investigate and report unlawful activity, safety hazards, incidents and suspicious occurrences
• Respond to all security calls and complaints; take appropriate action
• Secure community buildings according to policy and community expectations
• Notify police or fire department in situations where their emergency response is needed
• Sound fire alarm in the case of fire emergency
• Complete housekeeping duties as assigned
• Answer Community phones
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year job related experience preferred
