Vantage Point Retirement Living seeks a Maintenance Technician to support facility operations, performing routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and fixtures. You will complete work orders promptly, assist with preventative maintenance, and help with apartment turnovers and safety procedures.
The role requires basic technical knowledge, ability to read safety and maintenance instructions, and a customer-focused approach while supporting residents.
Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping maintain our facilities and ensure they are operating efficiently.

Make a difference in the lives of those who live with us
Perform routine maintenance duties including fixing wall and/ or floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, basic plumbing, minor electrical repairs, repairing appliances, painting, and refurbishing projects
Complete work orders in a timely manner
Assist with preventative maintenance program
Complete apartment turnovers
Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance
Assist with housekeeping as needed
Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures
Maintain emergency call system
Drive company vehicles as needed
On-call for building emergencies
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma/GED
Technical school education preferred
One (1) year maintenance or housekeeping experience preferred
Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment
Basic knowledge of construction principles
Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and life and safety regulations
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Interest in working with a senior population
Demonstrated customer service skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Organization and time management skills
Good judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Must be able to work independently
