Job summary

Vantage Point Retirement Living in Middletown, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Friday nights from 12 am to 8 am. You will help ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and preferably one year of related experience. We offer competitive pay and an employee assistance program, with a team-oriented, family-owned environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and security inspections.
• Patrol community buildings and grounds as scheduled.
• Report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and unsecured doors.
• Inspect and report all dangerous conditions and any damaged or defective equipment, machinery, and property.
• Investigate and report unlawful activity, safety hazards, incidents and suspicious occurrences.
• Respond to all security calls and complaints; take appropriate action.
• Secure community buildings according to policy and community expectations.
• Notify police or fire department in situations where their emergency response is needed.
• Sound fire alarm in the case of fire emergency.
• Complete housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Answer Community phones.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
