Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Network Engineer with SECRET clearance to join our Norfolk, VA team. You will plan, design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure, ensuring DISA STIG/RMF compliance and DoD cybersecurity alignment.

Responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based network services across classified and unclassified environments. You will monitor performance, perform capacity planning, support COOP/disaster recovery, and provide guidance to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline (or 5 years of relevant experience substituting for degree).
• Minimum 5 years of IT Networking experience within a DoD environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with network security, firewalls, and security protocols.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Wireshark or any other network packet capture and analysis tools.
• CCNA and Security+ CE certifications; active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer networks including VPNs, routers, and other network devices.
• Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
• Implementing disaster recovery procedures
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
• Working with cloud-based network services.
• Installing and maintaining firewalls and other security systems.
• Monitoring network traffic and performance.
• Troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Updating and upgrading network hardware and software.
