Job summary
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) in Fort Belvoir, VA seeks a Sr. Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise LAN/WAN environments. You will ensure DoW cybersecurity compliance and provide technical leadership for O&M and migrations.
The role requires 7+ years of related experience, US citizenship, and proficiency with routing protocols (OSPF/EIGRP/BGP/MPLS) and multi-vendor equipment. Expect a competitive salary and benefits package with potential travel.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of related experience.
- US Citizenship Required.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols and cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain multi-vendor routing/switching platforms (Cisco), VPNs, and F5 load balancers.
- Design and implement network topologies and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS).
- Apply DoW STIG/SRG requirements to network devices to maintain IAVA/IAVM compliance.
- Ensure 99.7% network uptime across critical enclaves and drive cybersecurity compliance.
- Lead network migrations, hardware refreshes, and outages.
- Develop network diagrams, rack elevations, and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitor networks with industry-leading tools.
