Job summary

Independent Management Services in Elyria, OH is seeking a property manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a residential community, including occupancy, marketing, leasing, move-ins/outs and income verification. You will supervise on-site staff and coordinate with vendors to maintain a safe, well-kept property.

The ideal candidate has leasing and customer service experience, familiarity with Tax Credit Compliance, EIV, HUD Section 8, REAC/MOR, and software such as Paycom and RealPage

Qualifications

• Leasing, sales and customer service experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and sales mindset.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and HUD programs is preferred.
• Proficiency with property management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of all phases of the operation of the community.
• Occupancy, marketing, leasing, move-in/out processes, and income verification procedures.
• Quarterly unit inspections, monitor work orders/maintenance, enforce community rules.
• Rent eviction and collections in line with state law and policy.
• Retain, negotiate, and supervise third-party vendors and contractors.
• Accounts receivable/payments, manage supplies and expenses to ensure timely payments.
• Foster relationships with residents, vendors/contractors, law enforcement and community members.
• Ensure residents are provided with a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate on-site personnel; report to Regional Property Manager.
