Job summary

Monroe Group LTD is seeking a Community Manager with experience in Section 8 and LIHTC to oversee daily operations at a designated property in Kansas City. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, occupancy, and compliance, and assist in budget development to keep operations within budgetary targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, adherence to program requirements, and timely reporting. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 1 year of Property Management experience in a managerial role.
• Working knowledge of affordable housing programs (Section 8, LIHTC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain wait list at 30%.
• Ensure vacancies are turned and leased within 5 days.
• Daily inspection of property cleanliness.
• Utilize Onesite efficiently and correctly.
• Assist in budgeting and annual reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HUD programs and tax credit requirements.
• Post rent and manage deposits; prepare required notices.
