Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a MMV mechanical engineer to coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and ensure adherence to requirements. The role involves integrating with NG teams to meet milestones and gauge supplier readiness as projects advance through design phases.

Responsibilities include participating in design reviews, approving subcontract deliverables, and overseeing testing and verification during qualification events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen.
• Active Secret clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP).
• Experience with Support Equipment hardware development for aircraft programs; incl. requirements generation and design reviews.
• Experience with Support Equipment requirements analysis, trade studies, SERD generation, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation.
• Experience with project/supplier management and team integration.
• Expert in Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and review designs to ensure adherence to requirements.
• Integrate with Northrop Grumman product teams to support milestones and supplier readiness.
• Participate in design reviews and approve subcontract deliverables.
• Oversee testing and verification during qualification events.
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
