Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an MMV mechanical engineer to coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with internal NG teams to ensure requirement adherence.

The role involves design reviews, subcontract deliverables, and supplier readiness assessments, with potential transitions to test and verification oversight during qualification events, supporting a critical aerospace program.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years (level 2) or 5+ years (level 3) of relevant experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Active Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Experience with Support Equipment hardware development for aircraft/aerospace programs; including requirements generation, conceptual/detail design, design reviews, and/or testing
• Experience with Support Equipment requirements analysis, trade studies, SERD generation, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and review designs to ensure adherence to requirements
• Integrate with NG integrated product teams and participate in design reviews
• Review/approve subcontract deliverables and gauge supplier readiness to enter milestones
• Support transition from design phase to test and verification oversight
• Assist suppliers through qualification events
