Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Major Maintenance Vehicles mechanical engineer in Utah. You will coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and work with NG teams to ensure requirement adherence and smooth progression through milestones.

The role involves participating in design reviews, approving subcontract deliverables, and guiding suppliers through qualification events, with option for level 2 or level 3 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 2 years (level 2) or 5 years (level 3) of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Active Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience with Support Equipment hardware development for aircraft/aerospace programs; including requirements generation, conceptual/detail design, design reviews, and/or testing.
• Experience with Support Equipment requirements analysis, trade studies, SERD generation, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation.
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and review designs to ensure adherence to requirements.
• Integrate with NG integrated product teams and participate in design reviews.
• Review/approve subcontract deliverables and gauge supplier readiness for milestones.
• Transition from design phase to test and verification oversight during qualification.
