Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, Utah is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the MMV team. You will coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with NG IPTs to ensure requirements are met and milestones achieved.

You will lead design reviews, approve subcontract deliverables, and assess supplier readiness through qualification events. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential as you guide partners through the development and verification phases.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' experience (or 3 with a Master’s, 1 with a PhD).
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
• Experience with project/supplier management and team integration; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and review designs to ensure adherence to requirements and milestones.
• Integrate with NG IPTs to support design reviews and subcontract deliverables.
• Gauge supplier readiness to enter contractual milestones and transition to test/verification oversight.
• Lead design reviews and ensure proper documentation and attention to detail throughout the program.
