Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Roy, Utah is seeking a Major Maintenance Vehicles mechanical engineer to coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with NG teams to meet requirements and milestones.

The role involves participating in design reviews, approving subcontract deliverables, and guiding suppliers through qualification events, with a potential Principal or Sr Principal level. Candidates should have a STEM degree, relevant experience, and active security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 5 years (level 3) or 8 years (level 4) of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen.
• Active Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years. Ability to obtain and maintain SAP.
• Experience with support equipment hardware development for aircraft/aerospace programs; including requirements generation, conceptual/detail design, design reviews, and/or testing.
• Experience with requirements analysis, trade studies, SERD generation, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Gauge supplier readiness to enter contractual milestones.
• Transition to test and verification oversight to assist suppliers through qualification events.
