Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cloud Service Provider Engineer to support the operation and sustainment of mission-critical private cloud infrastructure for the DISA Managed Services program. This senior role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization and Linux platforms, and the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or managed services environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, or similar Linux distributions.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, or VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Experience with enterprise storage and backup platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, PowerCLI, Bash, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise cloud and virtualized infrastructure including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of production system issues
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities across cloud and on‑premises platforms
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes in accordance with ITIL frameworks
• Develop automation scripts and operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, storage, and networking teams to deliver secure and reliable services
• Participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation to support mission‑critical operations
