Job summary

Raytheon Technologies seeks a Senior System Administrator based in Woburn, MA to support classified programs with Windows, Linux, and VMware environments. You will ensure secure, cost‑effective IT infrastructure, perform routine data center checks, and collaborate with Cybersecurity to uphold security requirements.

The role requires a DoD secret clearance (or ability to obtain interim) and DoDD 8140/8570 certification within six months. Travel up to 10% and 24x7 operations may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant prior experience.
• Must be able to obtain a transferable U.S. government issued secret clearance prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for the clearance.
• Must obtain an interim clearance before starting.
• Linux experience required.
• Experience with AD, VMware, and backup/recovery required.
• Experience performing functional system checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in Windows, VMware, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Perform daily data center checks.
• Handle Windows DNS/DHCP/AD and Linux server replication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to high scope technical problems.
• Assist with data backup and software installations.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements.
• Document and train on advanced IT processes.
• Obtain DoD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months.
• Support 24x7 operations and travel as needed.
• Obtain interim clearance before start.
