Job summary

Raytheon in the United States is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to maintain and deploy classified IT infrastructures onsite in a DoD-cleared environment. A secret clearance is required and DoDD/8570 certifications must be pursued within 6 months. The role is onsite in Forest, MS with potential off-hours work.

You will manage Windows servers, storage, file services, access, backups, and patching while collaborating with Cybersecurity to meet security requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience using Active Directory, VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), or ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Windows deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Windows server management; storage management; file server management; access management; data backup; software and license configuration; and workstation support.
• Provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience with Windows Server internals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and Windows integration methods.
• Team member in a fast-paced technological environment; troubleshoot problems of moderate to high scope and complexity including hardware/OS integration.
• Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies; install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
