Raytheon is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to provide administration across Windows and Red Hat environments on an onsite basis in El Segundo, CA. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship; travel up to 10% may be required. Ability to obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months is needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Work as part of a fast-paced team to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope, including hardware and OS integration.
• Execute actions as directed by senior staff and project management.
• Engage in cross-team collaboration and align with leadership expectations.
• Manage ESXi, vCenter, and Microsoft Windows domains.
• Experience with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, AD, server replication).
• Experience with hardware RAID, encryption, and server management tools.
• Perform data backup and restore following industry best practices.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements.
• Must obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of start date.
• Operations are 24x7 with possible after-hours work.
• Travel required up to 10% to other US domestic locations.
