Job summary

C3EL is seeking a Network Engineer to support DISA missions at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The role requires a Top Secret clearance, a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, and the ability to operate in a 24x7 shift environment, with a focus on sustainment, maintenance, and incident resolution of complex networks.

The candidate will analyze circuits, configure routers and switches, monitor alarms, and collaborate with government and internal teams to ensure maximum network availability

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Able to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Working knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations across optical and electrical circuits, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during outages and maintenance.
• Collaborate with customers and agencies to maximize network availability.
• Monitor network alarms using platform management tools.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacement and configurations.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions in incident systems.
• Assess and resolve network incidents leveraging knowledge of routers, switches, and transport tech.
