Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Software/Configuration Analyst 3 or 4 to join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense CM/DM team. You will support configuration management across software and hardware interfaces and work with subcontractors and internal teams.

The role requires active DoD Secret clearance, strong CM/DM knowledge, and experience with Agile environments, MS Office, and CM tools. Travel ~10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of CM experience (Level 3) or Bachelor’s +8 years (Level 4)
• Master’s Degree plus 3–6 years CM experience depending on level
• Active DoD Secret clearance required
• Experience implementing CM standards and baseline management
• Experience analyzing changes to determine effect on baselines
• Experience reviewing contract docs for deliverables
• Experience using CM data management tools
• Experience in regulated industry
• Proficient in MS Office
• Willingness to travel 10%

Responsibilities

• Supports CM activities across the GMD weapon-system portfolio (software and hardware)
• Develops and maintains software CM tools for identification, control, and delivery
• Performs CM and release engineering tasks to document operating parameters
• Designs and implements build procedures for software development and use
• Performs SW CM and media integrity checks
• May develop CM standards for program-wide use
• Collaborates with developers on CM tools and quality standards
• Maintains baselines and data integrity across lifecycles
• Monitors CM data repositories for traceability and security
• Aims to harmonize CDM processes and enable agile execution
• Operates and plans in an Agile environment
