Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems seeks a Software Configuration Analyst 3/4 to join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense CM/DM team in Huntsville, AL. You will support configuration management across the weapon-system portfolio, ensuring integrity, control, and compliance throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires experience with CM standards, Agile practices, and CM tools like Bitbucket, Confluence and Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with CM experience; or Master’s with CM experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Experience implementing CM standards (ISO, ANSI, CMII) and baseline management.
• Ability to analyze design changes and impact on baselines.
• Experience with CM tools and highly regulated environments.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support CM activities across the GMD weapon-system portfolio, including software and hardware integration.
• Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for identification, control, reporting and delivery of software products.
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks to document parameters and ensure compliance with baselines.
• Design and implement build procedures to support software development and use.
• Complete SW CM and media integrity checks.
• Develop software configuration standards for program-wide use.
• Collaborate with developers on CM tools and software quality standards.
• Uphold configuration control and certify baselines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor configuration-data repositories for integrity, traceability and security.
• Harmonize CDM processes and champion efficient solutions in Agile environments.
