Job summary

Total Force Alliance, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer I to support the DISA DGOC in a 24x7 operations center. You will execute network operations, configure circuits across routers and switches, and perform real-time routing redesigns to restore connectivity.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external government entities to ensure maximum network availability, monitor alarms, document outages and resolutions, and contribute to change management and incident lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of prior relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.
• Working knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of circuits across optical and multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore connectivity during outages.
• Collaborate with customers, government agencies and engineering teams to maximize network availability.
• Monitor network alarms using platform management tools and document incidents.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacements and software configurations.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations and resolutions throughout incidents.
• Assess network incidents and recommend resolutions leveraging knowledge of routers, switches, and transport networks.
