Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Network Engineer 2 within the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to design, implement, and maintain advanced network architectures for federal, local, and commercial customers.

You will work on intrusion detection, access control, and secure network services, while supporting 24/7 operations and DoD security requirements. Responsibilities include surveying sites, developing OV-1/OV-2 diagrams, testing hardware/software, and producing design documents and test plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline and 2+ years of progressive experience.
• Strong understanding of ITIL concepts and network security implications.
• Ability to design and deploy network infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

• Survey and analyze client site network configurations.
• Develop high level network architectures and OV-1/OV-2 documentation.
• Implement secure network designs including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and DMZs.
• Perform testing, QA/QC, and commissioning of network deployments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise network systems and security posture.
