Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet one of the listed paraprofessional options.
• Options include ParaPro assessment, AA degree, required college credits, or an apprenticeship program.
• District requires meeting State qualifications and 1–3 years experience with children or young adults.
• Strong communication, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in school or on field trips.
• Assist with preparation of instructional material.
• Operate standard office and AV equipment.
• Tutor students in small groups as requested by instructional staff.
• Support daily classroom operation and management.
• Ensure a safe classroom environment and effective learning conditions.
