Job summary

J.O. Combs Unified School District is seeking an experienced Instructional Coach to support curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development for teachers.

The role emphasizes reading, writing, and mathematics, with on-site collaboration to improve student achievement. The coach will work closely with site and district leadership, provide ongoing coaching, and help implement district standards and instructional strategies during a 10-month, 198-day calendar.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of satisfactory teaching experience.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate is required.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the goals, objectives, strategies, and programs of the district.
• Assist with the annual review, update, and writing of District curriculum.
• Provide coaching and professional development for teachers in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Assist staff with setting achievement goals based on student assessments.
• Conduct classroom observations and mentor teachers in instruction and assessment.
