Job summary

Comal Independent School District is seeking an experienced instructional coach to support teachers in implementing evidence-based practices in the classroom, through professional learning, modeling, and targeted coaching to raise student achievement.

You will collaborate with administrators and teachers, lead data-driven sessions, model effective instruction, and help teachers align lesson design with standards and curriculum to maximize learning outcomes for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level.
• Teaching certification in multiple areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide collaborative and one-on-one instructional coaching and facilitate teacher learning and related professional development to improve academic success of students.
• Work with administrators to align instructional support to district priorities and student outcome goals.
• Lead data sessions analyzing formative and summative results and suggest evidence-based interventions.
• Ensure standards are the foundation of instruction across content areas.
• Model evidence-based instructional practices through classroom demonstrations.
• Disaggregate test data with technology to inform curricular and instructional program improvements.
• Assist teachers in incorporating technology into the instructional program.
