Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking an Instructional Coach to strengthen teaching practice through collaborative, student-centered coaching. You will build educator capacity and promote high-quality instruction across classrooms, supporting positive outcomes for learners.

The role emphasizes coaching with observation, modeling, and co-teaching, aligning instruction to standards, and providing professional development to teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional II Special Education certification.
• Experience coaching or mentoring instructional practice.
• Strong knowledge of standards-based instruction and curriculum alignment.
• Ability to build trust through non-evaluative, collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers using observation, modeling, dialogue, and co-teaching practices.
• Support alignment of instruction with standards, curriculum, and assessments.
• Promote inclusive, engaging, student-centered learning environments.
• Provide professional development to increase educator effectiveness.
• Collaborate with school leaders to analyze data and support improvement planning.
