Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a part-time secondary education teacher to deliver Bible-based instruction for grades 6-12 in a classroom setting.

The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who demonstrates care and commitment and is proficient in teaching LifeWise curriculum. Training, certification, and ongoing professional development are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training (LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days, participate in LifeWise Summit, attend Teachers' Lounge or Meet-Up annually).
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum, map lesson plans, implement age-appropriate plans, build relationships with students, maintain a redemptive classroom environment and prioritize student engagement.
• Maintain Records: attendance, class rosters with health concerns and photo permission, prepare lesson plans for substitutes.
• Maintain the Classroom: foster a culture of academic pursuit and spiritual growth, keep a clean and organized classroom, know emergency procedures, purchase supplies as needed.
