Job summary

Custom Assembly, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the second shift. You will oversee daily inbound and outbound operations, coordinate staffing, and provide hands-on leadership to the warehouse team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in warehousing or related fields and 1 year of supervisory experience, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and strong teamwork. You will help enforce policies and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or coursework in business, logistics, supply chain, operations or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or similar environment.
Minimum 1 year of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience required.
Experience with inbound receiving, outbound shipping, or warehouse operations strongly preferred.
Experience directing workflow, assigning work, and coaching employees.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and other departments.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on the warehouse floor and stay active throughout the shift.
Forklift or material-handling equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily inbound, receiving, outbound, and shipping operations.
Assign employees and resources based on workload and priorities.
Ensure incoming product is received, inspected, documented, and processed accurately.
Ensure outgoing product is picked, staged, verified, loaded, and shipped accurately.
Monitor productivity, quality, and accuracy throughout the shift.
Identify discrepancies, damages, or inventory concerns and address them.
Enforce established processes and customer requirements.
Train, coach, and provide feedback to employees.
Partner with warehouse management, inventory, training, and other departments to resolve issues.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
Enforce company policies, safety procedures and performance expectations.
Assist with attendance, performance, and disciplinary documentation as needed.
Communicate shift priorities and updates to management.
Look for opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and workflow.
