Job summary

Judge Direct Placement seeks a Transportation Supervisor for a Miami, FL facility to lead second-shift transportation operations in a fast-paced Direct Store Distribution (DSD) environment. This role supervises 75+ union drivers, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries while maintaining DOT compliance and labor agreements.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, proven success in unionized teams, and the ability to drive service, safety, and productivity improvements in a dynamic distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics.
• Experience managing a unionized workforce and knowledge of DOT regs.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 75+ union delivery drivers and transportation personnel.
• Manage daily transportation operations to ensure on-time deliveries and customer service.
• Lead start-up meetings, route execution, and end-of-shift activities.
• Ensure DOT compliance, Hours of Service, and safety standards.
• Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements; foster labor relations.
• Conduct performance coaching, corrective actions, and development initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve transportation issues, complaints, and service failures.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, service, productivity, and labor utilization.
• Collaborate with warehouse, sales, customer service, and fleet maintenance teams.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, overtime, and workforce planning.
