Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. in Miami, FL is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead second-shift transportation operations in a fast-paced Direct Store Distribution environment.

You will supervise 75+ union drivers and personnel to ensure safe, on-time deliveries and top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, extensive unionized workforce experience, and a proven ability to optimize service, safety, and productivity while maintaining DOT compliance and labor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics.
• Experience managing large teams in a unionized environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet operations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management systems.
• Ability to work second shift beginning at 12:00 PM and support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of 75+ union delivery drivers and transportation personnel.
• Manage daily transportation operations to ensure on-time deliveries and superior customer service.
• Lead driver start-up meetings, route execution, and end-of-shift activities.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, company policies, and safety standards.
• Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements while fostering positive labor relations.
• Conduct performance coaching, corrective action, and employee development initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve transportation issues, accidents, customer complaints, and service failures.
• Monitor key performance indicators including safety, service, productivity, fuel efficiency, and labor utilization.
• Partner with warehouse, sales, customer service, and fleet maintenance teams to optimize operational performance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, overtime, and workforce planning.
• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize transportation management systems and reporting tools to analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
