Job summary

Mar-Bal Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Second Shift Tool Room Technician to maintain, repair, and prepare molds and fixtures for production. You will perform mold changes, preventative maintenance, inspections, and document work while operating milling and grinding equipment.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical skills, attention to safety, and a commitment to quality. The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, standing long periods, and following work orders in IQMS; pay is $19.00–$22.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform Diamond Polish.
• Knowledge of basic mold construction and functionality.
• Operate bridge crane system, Bridge-Port, lathes, drill press, and surface grinder.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools (wrenches, hammers, drills, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Maintain all molds and fixtures in good working order.
• Clean and inspect molds between production runs (PMs).
• Repair molds and components as needed and inform tooling lead of issues.
• Document repairs and maintenance on tooling.
• Tag molds to track status (pm, needs repair, inserts, etc.).
• Change over molds with required inserts.
• Return molds to storage when ready for next run.
• Support set ups and mold changes as needed.
• Work safely and follow procedures.
• Maintain inventory of bolts, pins, O-rings, tools, and tooling.
• Suggest equipment and process improvements.
• Assist in machining operations and expand machining skills.
• Document all work performed on molds.
