Our client is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Tool Repair Technician (Mold Maker) to provide tool building and repair support to optimize productivity, quality and safety. The role ensures customer satisfaction through precise tooling and repair work.

With 40+ years in plastics manufacturing for automotive, the client emphasizes technical R&D, and a comprehensive benefits package. The position calls for hands-on mold making expertise and strong plant collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with plastic injection molds and minimum 7 years’ mold making/repair.
• Experience operating machinery including overhead crane.
• Ability to read tooling prints, hydraulic and electrical diagrams.
• Technical training/experience on Mill Grinding.
• Must have own toolbox and range of mold making/repair tools.

Responsabilités

• Maintain tools in optimal operating condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Perform minor engineering changes.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing tools.
• Assist Supervisor in training associates in proper tool care.
• Ensure adequate inventory of replacement parts.
• Follow internal tooling procedures.
• Help implement process improvements with engineers.
• Participate in root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Record tool repairs and changes accurately.
