Job summary

Clayton is seeking a quality-oriented production teammate to join our lumber processing team. You will feed and stack lumber, assist the saw through cut sheets, and label finished products for the next station.

This full-time, on-site role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and strong communication are essential to success at Clayton Supply.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
• Reliable and punctual with good communication within team.

Responsibilities

• Feed and stack lumber to the saw to specified size.
• Operate and maintain work area cleanliness and safety.
• Verify cut sizes and label finished products for next station.
• Assist team members as needed and adhere to procedures.

Essential Duties

• Feeding and/or stacking lumber into a saw to be cut to a specific size.
• Lifts material repeatedly.
• Verifies cut size using tape measure according to cut sheet.
• Bands finished product together and labels it for forklift operators to take to next station.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and surrounding area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assist other Team Members within the department as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day, as well as other physical duties as needed.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day with 2 – 15 minutes breaks in between.
• Must be able to utilize tools.
• Must be able to lift and carry lumber of different sizes and other products.
• Must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members.
• Must be able to learn and follow company procedures and work instructions consistently.
• Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperature.
