Clayton is seeking a reliable Stacker to feed and stack lumber on a saw, ensuring cuts meet spec. This full-time role supports the production line in Richfield, NC, with physical requirements and a safety‑driven mindset.

• Feed and stack lumber into a saw according to size.
• Lift material repeatedly.
• Verify cut size with tape measure per cut sheet.
• Band finished product and label for forklift transfer.
• Clean and maintain equipment and area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Stacker’s primary responsibility is to feed and/or stack lumber into and off a saw.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Feeding and/or stacking lumber into a saw to be cut to a specific size.
• Lifts material repeatedly.
• Verifies cut size using tape measure according to cut sheet.
• Bands finished product together and labels it for forklift operators to take to next station.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and surrounding area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assist other Team Members within the department as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience
• Must have the ability to work well with a partner
• Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details
• Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic. Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day, as well as other physical duties as needed.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day with 2 – 15 minutes breaks in between.
• Must be able to utilize tools.
• Must be able to lift and carry lumber of different sizes and other products.
• Must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members.
• Must be able to learn and follow company procedures and work instructions consistently.
• Must be able to work in an extremely fast pace environment.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperature.
