Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC seeks a P2 2nd shift Rigging Production Supervisor - Shipping, Receiving & Loading to lead the daily operations of the shipping and receiving team, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished products throughout the facility.

You will supervise loading, unloading, inventory movement, and shipment preparation using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other handling equipment, partnering with Production, Planning, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality to

Qualifications

3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
Experience supervising material handling, shipping, receiving, or warehouse personnel.
Experience operating or supervising overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
Experience using ERP/MRP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or inventory management software.
Working knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory control, and material flow processes.
Strong understanding of operational KPIs including safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily Shipping, Receiving, and Loading operations for safe, timely material movement.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments per production schedules and customer needs.
Oversee overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safety and use.
Verify shipping documents and packing lists before delivery.
Prioritize shipments with Production, Planning, Materials, Warehouse, and Logistics.
Monitor inventory movement to preserve accuracy and reduce delays.
Enforce loading/unloading and material handling safety per OSHA standards.
Track KPIs like on-time shipments, Inventory accuracy, and productivity.
Drive Lean and continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
Coach, train, and evaluate team members; support hiring and development.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Safety to resolve issues.
